The price is nothing to sniff at, so save up and choose the restaurants or the cinema. You won't be going home with both arms and legs if you fork out for the full night out. The cinema is clean however, and 9/10 times the staff are friendly and engaging. It's cold in the lobby though, and when there are queues, it's more because staff aren't actively guiding customers to the tills; if you're busy, that's fine. But with two long lines by the door, and one customer by the coffee bar, it's not doing your speed of service any favours.
Great facilities and a good amount of screens showing a number of different films. It is very expensive and 2 adults taking 2 children works out to be a very expensive affair! That said, if you go on a Saturday morning you can take advantage of the reduced prices!

A lovely little theatre in the heart of Halifax. Although a bit tired and dated, the venue does hosts some great acts and the service here is very good with refreshments available at the interval. I've visited here at least 3 times. There are some nice local bars around the area to visit if the drinks are not to your liking or if you fancy a tipple before or after
We were there for the Aladdin panto which was great. We had taken our disabled daughter who loved the show and the theatre itself had made access easy and staff were great too....

Sine the refurbishment this venue has come alive. I have been here a few times over the last 20 years to different theatrical events which I have enjoyed immensely and found affordable. Since the change I have found myself a regular visitor to their catering extension. Not only is there a bar but also delicious healthy food and coffee and cakes etc. During the warmer months sitting on the roof terrace is lovely. I have not yet been to a theatrical production, so not sure about what's changed there. I have attended the cinema to see a 3 hour opera production. The cinema was full and we sat in the 2nd row. I would not repeat the experience unless I could sit further back as the screen was very high. Not particularly comfortable seats but the prices being charged to see both old and current movies is very fair. Give it a go. Also the refurbishments have now linked Square Chapel with the wonderful Piece Hall making it a great place to visit. Both have an amazing range of events and activities available. You won't regret a visit.
Excellent range of beers. Lovely seating area outside. Cinema is worth visiting. You could have a bite to eat and a drink beforehand 😁
